Abuja - The Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Suleiman Abba,
has ordered the immediate withdrawal of all existing Police
Community Relations Committee (PCRC) identity cards in order to curb
fraud.

The order is carried in a statement issued by the Force Public
Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu.
According to Ojukwu, the olice leadership suspended the PCRC identity
cards to checkmate the illegal proliferation of the document by some
criminally minded elements, who impersonate as members of the
PCRC to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.

He added that a newly designed PCRC identity card will be issued to
