As per the leaked images, the mini version looks similar to the
original Galaxy S6 in case of design. The exact screen size is not

#Tech - Blackberry Venice and Dallas imported into India for Testing

We hope, you’ve read about the Blackberry Venice which is set to
be the first BB phone to run on Android and is apparently set for a launch on AT&T’s network in USA. Now, a new import listing shows that the Venice along with another model codenamed Dallas has been imported into India for testing purposes.

The import database website, Zauba has import listings of both the Dallas and Venice being brought to India for testing. The number of units are only a handful and are most likely being given out to BB’s own employees to test.

The listing doesn’t specify the operating system the phones are running nor does it state the codenames directly. But instead, it shows us the model numbers of the devices and also states the value of the Venice at Rs 63,262 per unit. While this is most certainly not the final price, the high price does sort of indicate that Blackberry will be aiming at the premium segment where Samsung and Apple are currently leading. Along with Android, we could expect high end specifications as well.

The Venice is expected to have a 5.4 inch display with 1440p resolution and a slide out keyboard. A physical keyboard is something that some users still crave for in a phone however most manufacturers don’t offer them and while Blackberry did, their OS limited the customer’s willingness to buy it. The device is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB RAM and will support 4G LTE. There will be an 18 Megapixel rear camera and a 5 Megapixel front facing camera. Not much is known about the Dallas but we will keep you updated about more information regarding it and the Venice soon.

Following the leak of the Windows 10 build 10163 release notes on Friday by notorious leaker WZor, he has now followed up by posting a ton of images from that same build.

Unsurprisingly, the build shows little difference compared with the officially released Insider Preview 10162 - released on Friday by Microsoft.

No new features have or will be added to future Windows 10 builds until it gets signed off to RTM sometime later this month, but some welcomed bugs have been squashed relating to power management when a battery is present.

#Tech - Mastercard testing facial recognition security app

Mastercard is testing a smartphone app that uses facial recognition to
verify online purchases. Users in the trial can hold their phone up as though taking a selfie to approve transactions.

"The new generation, which is into selfies... I think they'll find it cool," the firm's security expert Ajay Bhalla told CNN .

One security expert told the BBC facial recognition should be complemented with "extra layers of security".

"Google tried facial recognition on Android phones and there were a lot
of problems in the early days", said Ken Munro, security researcher at Pen Test Partners.

"People realised you could take a photo of somebody and present it to
the camera, and the phone would unlock."
Spoofed Google admits its facial recognition is "less secure than a pattern, PIN or password" on the website for one of its devices.

Mastercard's app asks users to blink to prove that they are human, but even this has been spoofed in the past.
"People took photographs and animated them, drawing eyelids on," said Mr Munro. "There have been advances in biometrics since then, but they're not quite there yet."

Mastercard is exploring facial recognition as an alternative to SecureCode, its security software that asks online shoppers for a password to make purchases. The company said the technology was used in three billion transactions last year.

In March, Chinese shopping brand Alibaba demonstrated a facial recognition app, but hasn't brought it to market yet.Mastercard's facial recognition trial involves 500 users in the United States.

'Cumbersome'

"Mastercard will want this to be secure because they're dealing with money. But there is a case for adding extra layers of security," said Mr Munro.

"If an ordinary password gets compromised you can simply revoke it or
change it."What happens if your facial recognition data gets stolen? You can't change your face."

Mastercard said it was also exploring fingerprint security and voice recognition, which could make life easier for customers.

Mr Munro was clear that the best security would be a little more
"cumbersome"."Ideally I'd like to see facial recognition used in conjunction with a Pin. Both systems have flaws, but work brilliantly when you combine them."

#Tech - Alleged photos of #iPhone6s metal housing Leaks online

Purported live photos showcasing the metal housing of the upcoming iPhone 6s made the rounds online, courtesy of 9to5Mac .The images have reportedly arrived from a source within Apple’s supply chain.

Rather unsurprisingly, the leaked images reveal that the iPhone 6s will feature the same design as the model it is bound to replace. It is also said to feature similar thickness and width as the outgoing model.

Even the Space Gray color scheme of the leaked housing is the same as the one in the current iPhone 6. However, 9to5Mac points that the final hardware could feature subtle tweaks that include a darker Space Gray option to match the one found in the Apple Watch.

Internally, iPhone 6s will be quite different from the outgoing model. The device will feature different mounting points that will accommodate a brand new logic board.Contrary to past rumors, iPhone 6s won’t feature a dual-lens camera system. The device’s camera and flash layout will likely be identical to those found in iPhone 6.

Antenna lines will remain present in the upcoming smartphone. The layout of the speaker and the ports will also remain unchanged.

Windows 10 Mobile To Launch in Late September

windows_10_mobile_september_release.jpg

While Microsoft is launching Windows 10 officially on July 29th, users of Windows Mobile will have to wait a bit longer to get access to Windows 10 Mobile as it is apparently scheduled for a launch in late September.

Most versions of Windows 10 such as Mobile and XBox will be launching later in the year. According to a new slide that has been leaked, both the consumer as well as entreprise versions of Windows 10 Mobile should be available late next quarter.

The spokesperson stated that it should be sometime in October or possible as early as September. The launch date should give Microsoft enough time to tweak and polish things on Windows 10 Mobile and also release it in time for the rumored Windows 10 fall update that is expected to come at the same time.

Etisalat Unlimited 3hours for N15 Browsing Plan Still Working Like Mad

A lot of people have been asking me about this plan on whether it is still working and I don’t know if it is because Etisalat as concluded by many is the fastest network in browsing that people are so much interested in it and have been constantly asking me about the plan.

Many people think that this plan was a cheat, but it was a package that Etisalat deliberately and quietly introduced sometimes early this year and when the PayGo plan was partially suspended. Now this is what is currently obtainable with the Etisalat Unlimited 3hours for N15 plan;

For those that have opted into the plan right from onset and did not opt out, the Etisalat plan is still working like mad on auto renew bases and that is what I am still enjoying and I say let me share with you in case you have dumped your Etisalat line and thinking that it is no longer working even after you have opted in then.

Then for the newcomers, well I cannot a$$ure you that Etisalat will let you in at this moment but there is no harm in constantly trying because the modus operandi of Etisalat especially in the release of these plans and the window time they allow people to opt-in is very unpredictable.

Remember that you must be onEasylife 4.0 Flatplan and to migrate, simply dial *620*1# after which you can now opt-in for the unlimited 3hours for N15 plan by dialling*229*3*7#.

Make sure you have up to N15 before trying to opt in and if you succeed, and want to opt-out or for those that are already in that want to opt out, the opt-out code remains *227*0#, but for me I am not planning to opt out any soon because the plan and speed it offers is very sensible.

And the 3hours can be used and paused at any time for the next 3 days if you are already in and also can be used on all devices without any special tweaking.

Good Luck guys!

Facebook Messenger adds Ability to Send Locations as Messages

Facebook has just outed another new feature for its Messenger app.
The application now allows users to send their location as a message to their friends and family.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be your location, you can send any location you wish. This feature will not change the way Messenger works and users will still be able to specify whether or not they wish to disclose their own location when they send messages to other users.

The new feature will appear as an add-on pin in the bottom right corner as shown in the photo above. The new feature will be available on both Android as well as iOS devices soon once you update your Messenger app. The update has only just begun its rollout so might take sometime before the feature becomes available on your phone. However if you already did get the update, do let us know how it is once you have tried it.

Google “find my phone” Recover Your Stolen Phone Using Google.

Google has released a new feature to search for your lost phone or
tablet.

"We've all been there — you've searched under your car seat, tossed around the sofa cushions and you still can't find your phone," Google said in a message on Google+ . "If you know where your computer is, you can now ask Google to find your Android phone from your desktop." Users will first need to install the latest version of the Google app
( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox&hl=en)on their
Android device. Once you've logged into your account, you can simply search "find my phone" in a browser using Google.com.

A map is then displayed with the location of the phone. You can also prompt Google to ring the phone in case it happens to be nearby.

The search company continues to offer Android Device Manager -- an app for locating the device, changing the screen lock PIN and erasing all data on the phone.

WOW! This is the sickest Gaming PC case ever..

There's beauty in excess. PC gamers know this better than most, because when it comes time to build their machines, they pursue excess above all else. After all, the Sisyphean task of future- proofing your gaming PC is characterized by obtaining specs that are excessive for today but just right for the future. That pursuit of extravagance oftentimes spills over into the design of said gaming
rigs, as this mechanized PC case amply demonstrates.

Asus has started a new certification scheme for hardware partners
that want to carry its Republic of Gamers sticker on their peripherals or accessories. To qualify, the hardware has to match up with the menacing red-and-black ROG color scheme and adhere
to a set of minimum quality standards. But more than anything, it seems, the thing must look intense, purposeful, and outlandish. This case is built by In Win, and turns the usual chore of opening and
closing it into a beautiful piece of mechanical performance art.

Push a button at its base and the metal plates that form the case's sides split apart and open up like the petals of a mech flower. The motherboard tray elevates and then tilts at an angle that makes swapping out components easier. And cooler.

https://vine.co/v/ehw2aj91rid

Push another button and the metal flower retracts into its more conventional position and size. It's a sight to behold, and you could even make the argument that the arrays of lasers and LED lights are useful in helping to fully illuminate the case. I mean, we all know it's for the giddy, adolescent fun of watching flashing lights, bubbling water (in the built-in cooling system), and mechanized arms replacing flimsy humans, but there's nothing wrong with that.

This world could do with a bit more fun.
Asus says this ROG gaming PC case will be available to buy in the third quarter of this year, which gives the Alienware Area-51 a few more weeks to reign as my favorite outrageous PC design.

Microsoft working on new service to provide Wi-Fi for users everywhere

Clearly making users more productive means providing internet
access no matter where they go. According to VentureBeat, the
software company is currently developing a cross-platform service
that will offer "hassle-free" Wi-Fi around the world.

The new service, called Microsoft WiFi, was first seen online by Twitter user WalkingCat — who also first noticed the OneClip app — and the site has since been replaced with a "Coming Soon" graphic. However, in a statement sent to VentureBeat, a Microsoft representative confirms that the new venture is forthcoming. "We can confirm that we are working on a new service, called Microsoft WiFi, that will bring hassle-free Wi-Fi to millions," a representative said. "We look forward to sharing additional detail when available."

It won't come free at launch The effort will work via apps on iOS, Android, OS X, and Windows, and Wi-Fi will be available through a variety of hotspot providers on the fly. However, it won't come for free at launch; users will reportedly need to be paying Skype Wi-Fi subscribers, work at organizations using Microsoft Office 365 for Enterprise, or use aspecial Wi-Fi offer from Microsoft. An official announcement is likely on the way, but it's unclear when Microsoft will roll-out this helpful new feature.

Nintendo Says NX Game Console Won't Be Powered by Android

A day ago the Internet was abuzz with rampant speculation pertaining to Nintendo's next console, codenamed NX, running Android. On Tuesday, the company shot down all assumptions related to the same.

"There is no truth to the report saying that we are planning to adopt Android for NX," a Nintendo spokesman said to the Wall Street Journal .

This response was to a report by Japanese business daily, Nikkei . It
said that Nintendo would be using Android in its next console, claiming that the information came from sources close to the matter at Nintendo's headquarters.

Its sources claimed that by using Android as the base for NX, Nintendo would be able to gain a numerical superiority in developers for the platform thanks to the slew of developers making apps for Android. And with the Wii U console's touchscreen controller being a hindrance to most developers, going with something that's familiar to developers would be a plus point.

However the report in the Nikkei also mentioned that the OS' known security issues would make it a hindrance for children, women, and families - casual audiences that the company strives to appeal to.

In the past, details of Nintendo's upcoming consoles have been well-kept secrets and the company has remained quiet, keeping its cards close to its chest. Its even gone as far as to state the NX will not be revealed at E3 2015 with CEO Satoru Iwata saying that a full reveal can be expected in 2016. Earlier in the year, the company was in the news for its deal with DeNA to bring its games to mobile.
