#GAME: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Announced for PC, PS4, and Xbox One

For many an old school gamer, 2000's Deus Ex represented the pinnacle of video game design. It merged role-playing, first-person and stealth in a way few could, allowing for progression options that were and still are unparalleled. This was followed by a sequel in 2003 entitled Deus Ex: Invisible War, which lacked the scale and ambition of its predecessor. After that, we had to wait eight years for our next taste of the series with a prequel, Deus Ex: Human Revolution that was met with critical acclaim.

And while we were graced with a smartphone (and then PC) spin-off, Deus Ex: The Fall, it seems we won't have to wait too long for the next mainline entry into the series.

Titled Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, it's headed to PC, PlayStation 4 (PS4), and Xbox One. Its existence was confirmed by GameInformer following a elaborate teaser from series publisher Square Enix via a Twitch stream.

While it has no release date, the game has you in the role of the last game's protagonist Adam Jensen who has joined an international task force set up to hunt terrorists that have mechanical augmentations, giving them near superhuman abilities. Like its prequel, you can deal with enemies in violent, non-violent, and stealthy means.

A direct sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution is an odd choice considering the options players had at the end. How studio Eidos Montreal reconciles this would be a point of interest.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Teased; Game Modes, Setting Leaked

Few things in life are as predictable and consistent as the Sun rising in the East and Apple releasing a new phone every year. To add to that scarce list is the expectation of new Call of Duty game each year.

Usually out in November each year, it seems that Activision, the publisher of the series, is just warming up the hype machine, letting loose a teaser for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Though the company didn't say much, a detailed description has been unearthed from the website's source code:
"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is the first title for next-gen hardware in the critically acclaimed Black Ops series.

Developed by Treyarch, the award-winning creator of the two most-played games in Call of Duty history. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 deploys players into a dark, twisted future where a new breed of Black Ops soldier emerges and the lines are blurred between our own humanity and the technology we created to stay ahead, in a world where cutting-edge military robotics define warfare.

With three unique game modes: Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies, providing fans with the deepest and most ambitious Call of Duty ever."

In addition to this, Twitter ThaTiemsz posted what appears to be official game art pulled from the website, while its veracity is unknown, it's possibly legitimate given the art from previous games. A futuristic setting for Call of Duty is nothing new. Black Ops 2 and last year's Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare took place with such a backdrop. The first Black Ops game took place in the 1960s and the last featured a mix of the 1980s and 2025. With a full official reveal slated for April 26, we won't have to wait long to know what else is new in the latest instalment of this popular first-person shooter franchise.
