#News - U.S promises to assist in rescuing Chibok girls

Abuja - The United States of America has promised to assist the Federal Government in its quest to rescue the schoolgirls abducted
from Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, on April 14,
2014, reports Daily Trust.

The US government noted that it has not forgotten the abducted school girls and would assist Nigeria in freeing them from the Boko Haram terrorists.

The Commander United States Africa Command (USAAFRICOM) General
David Rodriguez and assistant secretary, Bureau of African Affairs,U.S Department of State Linda Thomas-Greenfield made the promise in a joint online press conference on Wednesday.

The U.S government officials stated that the rescue of the abducted Chibok girls is high priority for their government.

They commended President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife for visiting their families and letting them know the girls have not been forgotten.
