Anichebe on target in West Bromwich Albion home defeat

The bulky Nigerian was on target for the Baggies as they crumbled at home to visitors QPR in Saturday’s English Premier League game
Nigeria's Victor Anichebe grabbed his team’s consolation goal in their 4-1 home defeat to Queens Park Rangers in Saturday’s English topflight game played at the Hawthorns.
His 58th minute strike could not salvage a point for the Baggies who went three goals down before the half time break.

Eduardo Vargas's superb goal midway through the first half set the visitors in the right pace with Charlie Austin and Bobby Zamora netted to put the game beyond host’s reach while Anichebe tried to launch a comeback with his goal 13 minutes on return from the half time break.
Meanwhile his compatriot, Brown Ideye almost scored an equaliser four minutes later, although he knew little about it as Chris Baird's whipped cross struck his leg and flew wide of the right-hand post.
West Bromwich Albion are 13th on the English Premier League log with 33 points from 31 games
