Jubilation In Ibadan Over Presidential Election Results

Presidential election

A frenzy of celebrations took over the city of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital following the results of Saturday’s presidential elections.

The entire Sabo community was alive with celebrations of all sorts.
Residents were seen singing and dancing as they walked round adjoining areas of Sabo and Mokola.
In an apparent joyous mood, the crowd which started from the Hausa community in Sabo carried some campaign posters of Buhari and Oshinbajo, dancing and singing for all to see.

Meanwhile, human rights activist and the President of Voters’ Assembly, Moshood Erubami, in his reaction says the election result was a clear representation of the peoples’ will.
The celebration started hours before the official completion of the collation of results from all states of the federation, although General Buhari was already in a clear lead.

In the early hours of Wednesday, April 1, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate winner of the presidential election, defeating the incumbent, President Goodluck Jonathan.
