The Bayelsa Development Forum, BDF, in a statement issued today by the Secretary-General, Ebimo Anderson has said it is making an elaborate plan to host president Jonathan to a “heroic welcome reception”, as he prepares to return to the state after losing out in the March 28th presidential election. The youths called him a hero who deserves to be honoured for turning Nigeria around.
“As Ijaw people and proud Bayelsans, even though, we are deeply pained by the loss of our son at the polls, we are grateful to God and Nigerians for entrusting one of our own with the responsibility of leading this great nation at a time when it was thought impossible that a minority from the South-South will hold the highest office in the land,” Mr. Anderson said.
“We are indeed glad that President Jonathan did not disappoint us as a nation by his sterling leadership and in the process making history,” part of the statement read.
