A majority of Middlesbrough fans are unhappy with Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo over his lackluster performance at the weekend.
The Nigerian international’s output in the 0-2 loss to Sheffield Wednesday was below average and the fans immediately typed their reactions on twitter.
A fan, Jordan Daniels@ JDrSteelhammer posted “Don’t ever wanna see Omeruo, Forshaw, Husband or Whitehead start again in last 12 games. Could have strangled the four of them today”
Another fan Dana@Vivakaranka tweeted “Omeruo has been so bad this season, it’s a shame because he was amazing last season.”
The former Golden Eaglet defender was with the club for half of last season and was fantastic for Aitor Karanka’s men. With that in mind, Boro fans were more than happy to see him return to Teesside in the summer.
However, this season had been far less impressive and Saturday was perhaps his worst performance of the campaign yet.
Another fan saw Omeruo as a liability to the club. Writing on his twitter page, Harry Bond@KarankalsBossen wrote, “Type in ‘Omeruo liability.’ pretty much tells you everything you need to know.”
It could be recalled that Omeruo failed in his performance against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the 2015 AFCON qualifier played in Uyo, which ended in a two-all draw.
Middlesbrough is currently second on the Championship log with 63 points from 34 matches, two points behind leaders, Derby County. The club would welcome Millwall tomorrow in a week 35 encounter.
