Reported by blogjackphone, the Nokia N1 has proven to be immensely popular with users in China and if you’re one of the thousands who missed out on buying one earlier today, you’ll get another chance with more units going on sale on the 15th. At a price of 1599 RMB (approx $250, £170), the Nokia N1 offers excellent value for money with a specs lists that better most tablets at the same price point.
The Nokia N1, which is made by Foxconn and sold under the Nokia brand name, features a 7.9 inch IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by a 2.3GHz 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom processor. It features 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage whilst the cameras are made up of an 8MP rear and 5MP front facing sensors with the former supporting Full HD video.
Under the hood, the Nokia N1 has a 5300 mAh non-removable battery which offers up to 8.8 hours WI-FI browsing or 9.2 hours Full HD video playback and the N1 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Nokia’s unique Z Launcher interface on top. It’s unclear whether the Nokia N1 will get a global release but the seemingly popular reception it has received in China shows that the Nokia brand continues to have global appeal and the decision makers may yet decide to release the tablet on a global scale.
