Arsenal have been sensational this year as they have slowly inserted themselves in the title race and are firmly in second position. Following a 1-0 victory over Burnley today. Arsenal have now achieved a feat that was only previously achieved by the invincibles in the 2003/2004 season.
Aaron Ramsey’s solitary strike meant Arsenal have now won 8 straight premier league games for the first time in nearly thirteen years. A few months ago, Wenger compared his current side to the invincibles of 03/04 and was mocked but based on recent evidence on the pitch, “la Professeur” wasn’t far from the truth.
The question remains whether Arsenal can maintain this momentum till the end of the season.
