#Tech - Gallery: Screenshots Of Latest #Windows 10 build 10163

Following the leak of the Windows 10 build 10163 release notes on Friday by notorious leaker WZor, he has now followed up by posting a ton of images from that same build.

Unsurprisingly, the build shows little difference compared with the officially released Insider Preview 10162 - released on Friday by Microsoft.

No new features have or will be added to future Windows 10 builds until it gets signed off to RTM sometime later this month, but some welcomed bugs have been squashed relating to power management when a battery is present.

Microsoft Preparing Windows 10 for Phones Preview

phone_insider_app_screenshot_windows_phone_store_new.jpg

With Microsoft nearing the anticipated unveiling of the Windows 10 consumer preview on January 21, reports are coming in indicating a beta build for mobiles will be unveiled. The company's recently released Phone Insider app is being linked to the roll out of the beta update. The app will give registered Windows Insider users early access to pre-release OS updates.

The Phone Insider app (seen above) is sized at less than 1MB and is free to download from the Windows Phone Store. The Verge speculates the app will help the company roll out the initial preview version of Windows 10 for phones, which is also likely to miss on some features. The app's main function is to help Microsoft's test the Windows 10 for phones preview so it can make the necessary changes in its final OS version.

Sources close to the matter told The Verge that Microsoft will give more details on Windows 10 for smartphones and tablets at the January 21 event. Specifically, the company with Windows 10 will introduce changes in the UI of Windows Phone and Windows RT that bring them more in-line the UI and desktop version and the Xbox One console.

In addition, Windows 10 for desktop will also include some changes like light and dark themes that will go in-line with the phone and tablet OS versions. We also saw a Windows 10 dark theme leak along with Spartan browser screenshots last week.

Microsoft will also be taking advantage of its universal app design across mobile, tablet and desktop devices that it introduced last year. The January 21 event is also expected to focus more towards the consumer preview of Windows 10, while the developer-related details are expected at the Build conference later in the year.

Tech:-Windows 10 will be released to all WP8 Lumia phones

We have some wonderful news to all Lumia owners around
the world. Today Microsoft announced via its Twitter account
that all Windows Phone 8-based Lumia smartphones will be
treated to the upcoming Windows 10 OS next year.

The next iteration of Windows was announced recently and it
will unify the Windows OS and make it compatible to phones,
tablets and PCs with just one installation. Windows 10 is
coming sometime next year and it is currently in
development.

It’s really good news to see Microsoft updating even three-year
old phones with less RAM to the latest Windows OS. We know
Microsoft’s decision to ditch all WP7 phones when switching
to WP8 was a huge blow to the fans and the Windows Phone
OS popularity itself. But apparently Microsoft has learned a
valuable
lesson since then and won’t make the same mistake again.

Microsoft launches free Movie Creator app for Lumia phones And Windows tablets

Today Microsoft has unveiled a new free video editing app for
Windows Phone 8.1. It’s called Movie Creator, and it’s
available in beta in the Windows Phone app store, for Lumia
smartphones. It also works on tablets running Windows 8.1.

It lets you create movies using up to 25 videos you’ve recorded
on your phone, as well as photos, cinemagraphs, ‘living
images’, and music from your mobile device.

You can move clips wherever you want on your video
timeline, edit the length of your footage, add text cards,
captions, and filters, pan and zoom, and rotate stuff. Deleting
clips is a one- tap affair, and you can duplicate items too.
Sharing your new film can be done from right inside Movie
Creator.

The app won’t touch the original videos and photos you bring
into it, and it automatically stores your projects so you can go
back to any of them later. It lets you use some preinstalled
themes that have certain things preconfigured – for example,
scene transitions, filters, and the music score. Some themes are
free, and some aren’t.

Microsoft set to unveil Windows 9

Microsoft is said to unveil its new operating system Windows 9 next month,” if the company continues its naming scheme.

The purported date of the press event is Sept. 30,

The leaks are to be believed, the newest version of the operating system – code named “Threshold” is expected to have a “Mini-Start” menu, virtual desktops, and the elimination of the Charms bar feature, which has been unsuccessful with users since debuting with Windows 8. It may also include Microsoft’s virtual assistant Cortana for the desktop.

Windows 8 haven’t been successful as expected by many since its launch in 2012. The Metro interface may have been a sticking point for many. Better used on a tablet than desktop, consumers were leery about learning an entirely new interface. But the price to upgrade to a touch-enabled desktop proved to be another another downside for consumers.
